I was asked to make a side-table to go with some newly renovated wicker patio chairs. The brief was it had to be big enough for two cups of coffee and two plates of cake, and a comfortable height to reach from the chairs. This is what I came up with.
It’s made from laminated Black Butt Eucalyptus with Tasmanian Blackwood inlays in the top. The central support rod is Tasmanian Oak and the top has two polymer clay coasters inlayed on either side. The top is finished with wax to protect the wood and allow it to be cleaned.
